Our structured lesson program provides the opportunity to track growth through the lessons. Every person is given a personalized course rubric (age appropriate) that helps keep them on track and challenges them to the next level of riding.

Start from the ground up
Each lesson has ground work incorporated in the session to learn about the horse from the ground up. We learn to tack up the horse, groom, and bond on the ground before each ride.

When you get your lessons, Steph focuses on a positive approach that allows a happy environment. You will not be made to feel stupid for anything you do. Go at your pace, but with a little positive push.

Safety is important!
We pride ourselves on a safe lesson program that allows the student to make mistakes and learn from them without fearing for their safety. All students under 18 must wear a helmet, and it’s strongly suggested to adults as well.
Course structure
We have a unique program that creates individual lesson plans for each student. These programs help create a positive and rewarding experience while pushing them to excel onto the next level.
Each individual lesson plan is private and not shared to any other students unless given permission. This program is to help promote growth positively for each person, and can be tailored to their experiences with the horses.
We will NOT discuss these plans or compare the growth of students to other students. We want to provide a safe environment to learn, and bullying is not tolerated.
OUR LESSON HORSES
Harlin
Harlin is our 22 year old Half Arabian mare and she’s the main squeeze in the lesson program. She has the energy of an energizer bunny and loves to work. She’s a little quirky here and there, but completely safe for all levels of riders.
This sweet girl LOVES attention, and prefers cookies before and after her rides. She believes she is the instructor and can read her rider better than the instructor can!
Her “mommy” is Mrs. Steph, who Harlin chose and bonded to herself.
She’s a fancy girl, and brightens up our days with her beautiful color and expressive self.
DEWEY
Dewey is a gelding of many names. You’ll hear him be called “Dewey, Dewbert, Dew, Moto Moto, and DewDew Bean.” He is our tank of a Mustang gelding, and Dewey is 9 years old.
His favorite past times are napping, eating, and thinking about napping and eating. He’s a very chill guy, and is an amazing confidence booster.
Don’t let Dewey’s cute face fool you, he’s also a stellar show horse, and has a great smile. Just ask him some time and he’ll show you those pearly whites!
